• Words are hard

Hee. This one’s even sappier than the last one. I tried to build another song out of a phrase that Jules tossed out on her blog a few months ago. I don’t think it came out as well as Like Sailors Do (and it’s certainly no Sleepwalker), but I don’t see you writing any songs, now, do I?

It was stupid! It was pointless! It was…short. We loved it! – Statler & Waldorf

For Ric the Schmuck: 1) I messed around with DADGAD tuning on this one to get the guitar to have that kind of droning sound. 2) I’m praying for you, buddy. (He’s been roped into drumming in public for the first time in a bazillion years.)

    Neato.

I kept waiting for the big orchestral crash, into power ballad mode… It’s better without, for sure.

    Continued good stuff.

Just what we need, more droning. But seriously, I’ll download it sometime when I get on the computer at home (we still have dialup @ home – which sucks)

So Ric, WHADDA YA PLAYING DRUMS FOR?? SHOULD I FLY BACK TO MAINE TO SEE THIS??

    Fly back to Maine, yes.

    See me play, no. :)

For the record, I went over to the guitar players house tonight, and went over the 6 songs we’re supposed to do.

Uh, it ain’t pretty, but it could be much worse. We’ll be OK, methinks. (Hell, six songs, at least it’ll be brief.) Relatively painless. Played for about 90 minutes, and the arms didn’t give out. The real “feel” isn’t there, but I can still keep time.
