Gefur Beardsplitter Hurt, Out 13 Months

Saturday, May 14th, 2022: Injuries are something every team has to deal with. That fact struck home for the Bears when after today's game against the Devils, the club found out they would be without the services of Gefur Beardsplitter for at least 13 months. After the game, his manager said of the incident, "You hate to lose anyone to injury. That's always a negative." Beardsplitter was injured earlier today throwing a pitch and suffered a torn flexor tendon in his elbow.

Thus far this season, Beardsplitter has worked 39 innings with 30 strikeouts en route to a 1-3 record and a 4.62 ERA.
