SGCBL News: First-Year Player Draft
Tuesday, June 15th, 2021: The scouting reports are in. Baseball officials have spent endless hours, days and weeks debating and agonizing over which first-year players should be drafted. Some guys do it scientifically, while the grizzled old pros go by gut feel. Whatever the team's philosophy, the Tolkien Baseball amateur draft is today and these ballclubs have the first five selections: Dead Marshes, Lake Town, Ravenhill, Carrock and Minas Tirith. It is the consensus among the baseball journalists and experts that these guys will go in the first ten picks:

2. Ive Gollilas, 19 year-old left fielder out of high-school.
3. Joshua Moneybags, 19 year-old starting pitcher out of high-school.
4. Bifur Chiselbiter, 21 year-old center fielder out of college.
5. Smilman Boroden, 19 year-old starting pitcher out of high-school.
6. Radand Derroslammer, 18 year-old third baseman out of high-school.
7. Hisin Rockdelver, 22 year-old third baseman out of college.
8. Hahai Armpoker, 21 year-old center fielder out of college.
9. Novathiel Beladrielith, 22 year-old center fielder out of college.
10. Bosur Armorshaker, 18 year-old starting pitcher out of high-school.
