Kings Galadrienduil Gets Perfect Game
Friday, June 26th, 2020: The "Impossible Dream" occurred today. Gamilmir Galadrienduil of the Numenor Kings secured a place for himself in league history, defeating the Misty Mountain Hops 9-0 in a perfect game. -- "a no-hit, no-run, no-man-reach-first" game. That's one of the rarest of the rare.
In the postgame interview on BNN he said, "I knew what was going on, I was hoping the fans would kind of shush a little bit. They were making me nervous."
His batterymate said Galadrienduil could smell it at the end. "He was that confident, he was that good."
When his perfect day on the mound ended, he pumped his fist twice at the ground as he was swarmed by his teammates. He made his way off the field to a standing ovation from the crowd and with a final wave to the fans he disappeared into the clubhouse.
On his history-making day at Capital One Stadium Galadrienduil walked nobody and struck out 6.
When his dad walked into the clubhouse after the game, he walked over and asked the elated Galadrienduil, "I got here late, what happened?"
"What? You didn't see the game?" Galadrienduil blurted out.
His dad was kidding, of course. He had watched the whole game... the whole perfect game.
In 4 starts this year Galadrienduil has fashioned a 1-3 record and a 3.44 ERA.
