Marauders *Véneanár Out Rest Of Season

The doctors have spoken and Mablung *Véneanár of the Mirkwood Marauders didn't like what he heard. The 26-year-old shortstop is almost certainly gone for the rest of the year and depending on his progress could miss some of next season as well. *Véneanár sustained his season-ending injury during the Minas Ithil Wyrms game yesterday at Silmarillion Cellular Field. He had to leave the game because he hurt himself while making a defensive play. Today the Mirkwood medical staff reported *Véneanár had a fractured nose and would be absent from the lineup for at least 3 weeks.

In 143 games this season *Véneanár has batted at a .324 pace with 189 hits and 23 home runs.
