Red-Hot *Squishmasher SC Player of the Week

In the twilight of his career, 37-year-old Loopy *Squishmasher of Rivendell recaptured some of the old magic last week and came away with the Shire Conference Player of the Week Award.

"I've been playing since I was a kid," *Squishmasher told reporters, "but you're never too old to feel the thrill of success."

*Squishmasher outpaced the rest of the league's hitters last week, reeling off 10 hits in 23 at-bats, 4 home runs and 8 RBIs to stake his claim to the award.

*Squishmasher is currently hitting at a .331 pace with 7 home runs, 21 RBIs and has scored 22 times.
