Triple Crown Winner Named MVP
There wasn't much doubt as to who would win this year's Shire Conference Aragorn MVP award. Bucklebury's Scarlett *III easily took the prize based on her triple crown season. Scarlett led the League with a .379 batting average, and she was tops in the Shire Conference in HR (46) and RBI (135). She was also the leader in slugging (.635), runs created (157.2), total bases (390), singles (170), and runs scored (123).
Scarlett's 233 hits broke the Shire Conference record for hits in a season, set by newly elected Hall of Famer Curt Ballscarer in 2010.
Scarlett *III was named 1st on all but one MVP ballot, with Rivendell's Elegrina Peremral receiving the lone dissenting vote. Moria's Splinter *Jack finished 2nd in the voting overall, with Bree's Grikak Spleenwhomper and Peremral winding up 3rd and 4th.
