Isengard is Mordor Champ!
Despite a shocking start, which saw Dol Guldur's Lerin Iceywater toss the first playoff no-hitter in league history, the Isengard Raiders went on to win their first Mordor Conference championship in 6 games.
Iceywater's historic performance in Game 1 had Dragons fans rocking, as she set down the mighty Raider lineup with ease.
Game 2 was another story, with Isengard pounding 16 hits and winning 11-3. Most of those runs coming in a 5-run 6th.
Vinar Ringsmith stepped up with a terrific pitching performance for the Raiders in Game 3, allowing just 1 run on 5 hits, striking out 7 over 8 innings, as Isengard took a 2-games-to-1 advantage with a 3-2 win.
The rematch of Iceywater and Renato Morales had a different outcome in Game 4, with Morales keeping Dol Guldur scoreless over 6.1 innings and Isengard winning 4-1.
The Dragons came back in Game 5 to take the series home to Dol Guldur with a 5-1 victory on the back of Herman *Slobberknocker.
Game 6 was a tight pitchers duel through 7 innings, with the Dragons Tubur Trollsnapper giving up just 1 run on 5 hits and striking out 10. The score was tied 1-1 going into the 9th. But the wheels fell off the Dol Guldur train in the top of the inning when the bullpen allowed 3 runs, giving Isengard the 4-1 victory.
