Makk the Knife Hurls No-No Against Mirkwood
MIRKWOOD - In a seldom seen sight, Makk the Knife threw a no-hitter as the Bywater Bounders beat the Mirkwood Marauders 1-0 on May 25. In a dominating performance at Woodland Field he struck out 5 and walked 2 while facing only 29 batters.
"He had great stuff out there," the Bounders manager told BNN reporters. "Makk was a real gamer, a real competitor. He didn't give in to anybody out there."
To date the Knife is 3-4 in 8 starts with a 5.48 ERA and has 35 strikeouts in 44.1 innings.
This was the first no-hitter in the majors since September 25, 2015, when Hallalonn Brilhirion of Dunharrow tossed one against Dead Marshes.
