Star 1B Signs Pact with Royals

Rivendell fans celebrated as word of a signing became reality. Dean Shute won't be pulling up stakes anytime soon, as he has signed a 2-year extension at a pay rate of $5,370,000 per annum.

Since he is widely seen as an integral part of the club, Rivendell officials had to keep Shute from jumping ship.

In his 462-game career Shute has hit .211 with 304 hits, 89 home runs, and 237 RBIs and has scored 199 runs.
